A progressive community rooted in faith, justice, healing, and radical love
Thanks for being here. I’m John Calve, founder of The Way Forward Community.
I started this community out of a conviction that faith must be lived in ways that bring real healing, justice, and transformation into the world.
Through my social justice work over the last decade, I’ve seen firsthand how systems can fail people, but also how communities grounded in truth, courage, and love can restore what has been lost through building something new.
This community is currently in an early building phase. I’m looking for people who feel drawn to this vision and want to bring their passions, gifts, and experiences to help contribute to what this becomes.
This will be an online community that meets virtually at least twice per month. Our shared gatherings will serve two connected purposes:
First, we will examine the harmful beliefs, systems, and false idols that shape us and begin to rebuild something more aligned with our divine nature.
Second, we will educate ourselves about what is happening in the world so that we can take informed, meaningful action to stand with our neighbors.
If this resonates with you, there is space here not just to join, but to help shape what this becomes.
You believe that faith and values are meant to shape how we live, not just what we believe.
You understand your own healing is connected to the healing of others and the world around you.
You care about justice and want to engage the world in a way that is both courageous and compassionate.
You are tired of division, fear, and disconnection, and want to help build something more honest, grounded, and whole.
You want to live out your faith and purpose alongside others rather than do this work alone.
This might be for you if…
