Faith in Action
Living Out Our Faith Together
We are building a community committed to faith in action, where love, justice, and transformation are not only values we hold, but work we actively engage in together.
At the center of this work are eight core practices that guide both our inner formation and our outward engagement. We believe meaningful change begins within, through self-awareness, healing, and reflection, and is expressed outwardly through how we show up in relationship, community, and action.
Our broader vision is to connect and work with people, communities, and institutions in ways that strengthen justice, amplify overlooked voices, and move meaningful resources and attention toward the places where they are needed most. We believe lasting change happens when lived experience, professional expertise, and institutional influence are brought together in active collaboration.
As of May 2026, The Way Forward is in an early building phase as an online community. The focus areas below reflect the long-term vision of this work. As we begin to gather and put our faith into action (anticipated by July 2026) our initial outward focus will center on Political Advocacy, Public Witness & Activism, Media & Storytelling, Education & Training, and Building Partnerships.
Our Focus Areas
Faith Community
We gather to grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and practice a way of life rooted in love, service, and truth. This is where spiritual formation happens together, not in isolation.
Support Groups
We create spaces of care and honesty where people can share their struggles, heal from pain, and support one another. No one is expected to walk through life alone.
Public Witness & Activism
We speak truth to power and engage the world with courage, clarity, and conviction. Through our voices and presence, we challenge injustice and invite others into a more compassionate and just way of living.
Political Advocacy
We work to influence policies and systems that shape people’s lives. This includes educating ourselves, engaging with legislation, and advocating for change that promotes justice and human dignity.
Education & Training
We are committed to ongoing learning and educating others to better understand the world and how to engage it. Through study, teaching, and shared resources, we grow in knowledge that informs action and helps others lead with integrity, courage, and humility.
Media & Storytelling
We use storytelling, social media, and creative content to share truth, raise awareness, and inspire action. This is how we extend our voice beyond our immediate community and help shape the broader culture.
Community Service
We meet tangible needs in our communities through acts of service that restore dignity and provide support. This is love expressed through consistent, practical action.
Community Organizing
We mobilize people to take collective action and address the root causes of injustice. By building local power, we create lasting change from the ground up.
Building Partnerships
We collaborate with organizations and communities already doing meaningful work. Together, we strengthen impact, share resources, and contribute to a larger movement for change.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences who are drawn to live out their faith and values in meaningful, practical ways. This includes, but is not limited to, experience or interest in areas such as public policy, education and training, justice-centered theology, mental health, communications, content creation, storytelling, event planning, project management, administration, and building partnerships.
We also welcome those who bring lived experience, relational wisdom, creativity, and a willingness to learn and grow. No prior experience is required. What matters most is a sincere commitment to show up, engage others with integrity, and contribute to shared work over time.
As the work grows, we seek to build meaningful connections across communities and institutions, bringing together insight from lived experience with expertise in professional and public sectors, so that justice-oriented work can be more effectively sustained and translated into action.
“Everybody can be great because everybody can serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”
